The Hailey’s Wish 2008 Golf Tournament

Another activity has been made this year to help the needy. This time, it is a golf tournament that would surely be participated by the many and the rich people. The Hailey’s Wish 2008 Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the beautiful Tijeras Creek Golf Club. A portion of proceeds from this event will benefit Children's Hospital of County Metabolic Program. This is a good project to raise funds and help the children. I remember when I was still in the Rotary Club of Iligan Bay, Philippines, we did similar projects just to raise funds. The money we raised was used to help the less fortunate people. Also when I was with the Rotaract Club of Iligan North, we raised funds to support our free cataract operations for those patients who have cataracts. Many supported it because a lot has been benefited. projects like this should be supported. So hope many will participate with this event for the children.

Hailey’s Wish is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 in honor of Hailey Reese Cavlovic, a beautiful 16 month old child who died from Alpers Syndrome, a fatal mitochondrial disease.

With your support we will;

* Fund research to advance treatments for children with mitochondrial diseases.
* Educate the medical community and public to promote early diagnosis and a better understanding of these complex diseases, which are nearly as common as childhood cancer.
* Promote the sharing of information between the medical team and families to enhance the continuity and standard of care for these children.

We are driven by the belief that through research and education we can work to assure all children an early diagnosis and a better quality of life.

A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS OF THIS EVENT WILL BENIFIT THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF ORANGE COUNTY METOBOLIC PROGRAM
