Pecan Pie

Pecan Pie is my husband's favorite pie. Whenever he sees one he would never let go and buy it right away. I can stop him from buying ice cream but not this one. It is an all-time favorite dessert. I like it then. Since we had a bag of pecans, I was looking for a simple Pecan Pie recipe. I went over my recipe books and found this Old Timey Recipe booklet with pie recipes. Actually, hubby found that book first.

unbaked pie shell
1/2 cup butter (or oleo)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup maple flavored syrup
3/4 cup white corn syrup
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 to 2 cups pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter, add sugar, syrups, eggs and vanilla. Mix. Pour into pie shell. Arrange pecans on top (or chop nuts and mix before pouring into shell). Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
