This is our new cake. Instead of the usual cake that we see every birthday, my friends and I have a very creative cake for the candles to be wished and blown. It's a Filipino kakanin or delicacy made of sticky rice and brown sugar. We call it biko or sweet rice. Our friend Olga and her mother always prepare this Filipino cake. She cut some sliced bread for the letters and added a bit of cake decorations. Isn't it pretty? For the biko recipe, you can search my site for it. What a very nice, unique and yummy cake to serve!
